PALM OIL (50ml)
PALM OIL (50ml)
Extracted from the fruit of the oil palm, Palm Oil is commonly used in soaps, cosmetics, and natural formulations.
Palm oil can be used in cooking for frying, sautéing, roasting, and in baking, while unrefined types add flavor to curries, stews, and salad dressings. It's also used as a stabilizer in nut butters, a moisturizing agent in cosmetics, and in household products like soap. When cooking, it can be directly swapped for other cooking oils in many recipes, but be aware that it can stain clothes and furniture
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:-
- Staining: Be cautious when using red palm oil, as it can leave yellow stains on clothing and furniture.
- Cholesterol: Palm oil contains fats that can increase cholesterol levels, so it's best consumed in moderation.
- Food Stabilizer: It is often added to products like nut butters to prevent separation
Application
Ideal for soap making and body butter formulations.
How to use:
For Cooking
- Sautéing, Frying, and Roasting: Palm oil has a high smoke point, making it suitable for high-heat cooking. Toss vegetables with it for roasting or use it to sauté ingredients for stews, curries, and stir-fries.
- Baking: It's used in baked goods and as a component of vegetable shortening, providing a thick, stable texture.
- Flavoring: Unrefined red palm oil, with its earthy and carrot-like flavor, can be used in specialized dishes like soups, stews, and curries, or as a finishing oil on popcorn.
- Salad Dressings and Dips: Add palm oil to salad dressings for a unique taste or use it in hummus to enhance its nuttiness.
For Personal Care
- Hair and Skin: Its moisturizing properties make it an excellent ingredient in soaps, lotions, and shampoos.
- Massage Oil: It can be massaged onto the body and face to help lock in moisture
